Principles of Mind/Body Medicine

What you think of is what you become.
Loving, happy thoughts stimulate the immune system. The reverse is also true. Worry, depression, anger, and prolonged sorrow break down the immune system.

Your body is eavesdropping on every thought you think.
According to Deepak Chopra, M.D. Each of our thought is immediately translated into powerful neurochemicals, and we now know that there are receptor sites for these chemicals throughout your body. He suggests that-

if you wish to determine why your body is the way it is today, look at yesterday's thoughts. And if you wish to see what your body will be like in the future, pay attention to your thoughts of today.

Your MIND is the "computer" and
your BODY is the "printout."

"Each patient carries his own doctor inside him. They come to us not knowing that truth. We are at our best when we give the doctor who resides within each patient a chance to go to work."
-Albert Schweitzer, M.D.

"The human body is its own best apothecary:
the most successful prescriptions are those filled by the body itself."
-Norman Cousins
